Description

HANS III system 30 degrees

HANS III system 30 degrees for use in motor sports in the formula or open cars category.

The frontal head and neck protection system (FHR - Frontal Head Restraint), is mandatory for all RACB and KNAF competitions and various championships. The list of FIA approved Frontal Head and Neck Restraints (FHR) and helmets can be found on the Technical List No. 29. - The connecting straps ("Tether") must bear the FIA label 8858-2002 or 8858-2010.

Attachment points on the helmet ('Tether anchors') with the FIA code 8858-2002 or 8858-2010 and the corresponding FIA hologram sticker. To date, no system is a complete safety system in case of an accident, but several studies have shown that an FHR safety system greatly reduces the risk of head, neck and spinal injuries. Each pilot should carefully choose the system that suits him best from the available models.

For drivers in a formula car a 30° HANS system should be worn, for touring cars a 20° system should be worn. When purchasing a HANS system, always pay attention to the production and expiry date.

What should you pay attention to when purchasing a hans system?

An 'uncomfortable' sitting system often indicates a 'wrong' system or a wrong application. The correct type of safety belts must be fitted correctly, but the belt holes in the seat are also important. It goes without saying that the correct helmet suitable for FHR systems must be used. In addition, there are a few other things that are important. The HANSsystems are available in different 'angles'. These 'angles' (10, 20 or 30 degrees) are determined by the angle at which the back is in relation to the head when sitting in the car. After all, in a formula car the driver is more comfortable and so a 3HANS0◦ system is much better suited than a 2HANS0◦ system which is better for touring cars. HANSSystems are also available in three different sizes; these are widths (S, M, L) only the 40° version is available in Medium.
