Description

Alpinestars Karting shoe TECH-1 K v2

Alpinestars Karting shoe TECH-1 K v2 has been developed to withstand the stress of karting races with some design improvements. The shoe is made with nubuck and microfiber uppers for durability and support.
The new anatonomic design provides improved forefoot profiling. The lacing system is asymmetrical for a more progressive closure. Finally, the karting shoe features a new external reinforcement in the heel and toe area and an ultra-thin Formula 1 specification sole with a rounded heel for unsurpassed levels of grip and sensitivity on the pedals.

The karting shoe is equipped with velcro and laces in a layout with taste for design that can be combined with various colours of overall. An ultra-light shoe for karting use with a highly ventilating feature, which produces a cooling effect and prevents the feet from swelling.

What should you pay attention to when buying a karting shoe?

The choice of the karting shoe is important for the feel of the kart, here are some tips when buying a quality karting shoe:

  • Pay attention to the flexibility of the sole. When you press your foot on that accelerator or brake pedal for a longer period of time, a sole that is too slack can cause a painful sole because the pedal is pressed against the ball of the foot every time.
  • In a kart you often see that the pilot drives more on the "outside of the foot". This causes the side of the foot to press very hard against the outer front of the shoe. If the shoe is too weak, you will "hang" your foot over the edge of the sole, which can cause painful sides of the feet. A sturdy karting shoe is very important.

For the right size choice, it is strongly recommended to follow the US dimensions.
