What supplies do you need? We like to sum it up:
Helmet
A helmet is mandatory on some trackdays and actually gives tremendous protection for a reason. It is therefore advisable to put on a helmet while riding on the track. You have different helmets for different occasions. Do you only ride a few times and like to feel free or need to communicate regularly? Then an openface helmet might be for you.
Do you prefer wearing a closed helmet that protects the teeth/mouth/jaws a little better? Then we have this ready for you as well, all in different price ranges.
Gloves
While driving on the track, there's always a little more adrenaline involved anyway. You take a tighter grip on the steering wheel anyway. This makes your hands sweat and you lose grip on the steering wheel. Something you do not want to experience and therefore gloves are recommended during your trackday.
Again, there are different options and price ranges. One often takes racing gloves, which have the advantage of being fireproof should something happen.
Safety first!
Shoes
The difference while driving with motorsport shoes or our everyday shoe does make a big difference. For those few times you drive a trackday, it may not be necessary. But if you really want to improve and are training then an upgrade in your footwear is a good choice!
Overall
Wearing overalls is also often not mandatory during trackdays but does provide great added value in safety.
Overalls are fireproof if something were to happen to fire. Even though this chance is very small with today's cars.
It remains mandatory during races for this reason.
