Alpinestars Tech 1KX Karting Shoe
Alpinestars Tech 1KX Karting shoe is an ultra-lightweight shoe for karting use with very ventilating properties that provide cooling effect and prevent swelling of the feet.
The sole of this shoe is made of flexible rubber which makes the sole more pliable. The asymmetrical entry of the shoe is a plus. There is extra protection on the back of the heel and side to protect against cables and screws.
Produced with minimal stitching, the shoe features an updated locking mechanism designed with a fun graphic design. Close fit to ensure flexibility and pedal control.
The choice of the karting shoe is important for the feel of the kart, here are some tips when buying a quality karting shoe:
- Pay attention to the flexibility of the sole. When you press your foot on that accelerator or brake pedal for a longer period of time, a sole that is too slack can cause a painful sole because the pedal is pressed against the ball of the foot every time.
- In a kart you often see that the pilot drives more on the "outside of the foot". This causes the side of the foot to press very hard against the outer front of the shoe. If the shoe is too weak, you will "hang" your foot over the edge of the sole, which can cause painful sides of the feet. A sturdy karting shoe is very important.
